I have been involved in the tourism industry for over 30 years including international, national, state and regional event management, State and Local Government tourism management/strategic development and as an operator in the hotel industry.

I have a strong passion for tourism, heritage and community development and have been involved in the development of many strategies, conceptual plans and projects.

 

I have been privileged to be involved in the development of the award winning Sounds by the River concert event at Mannum now in its 13th year and other major outdoor events nationwide.

 

I have had over 14 years of Local Government experience specialising in tourism management, accredited and non-accredited Visitor information centres/services. From this, i gained a strong understanding of grassroots to high level strategic tourism operations and opportunities. I have been privileged to assist in the development and operation of many award-winning tourism businesses and projects.

I am a previous board member of the South Australian Tourism Commission, Regional Development Australia, Murraylands and Riverland, Chairperson and Board member of Murraylands Tourism Marketing and Destination Riverland.

 

I am the proud recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Contribution and Individual State Tourism award and an Order of Australia Medal for my contribution to State tourism and community.

Outside of work, you'll find me pottering around in my garden, cooking up a feast for my family and enjoying a glass of bubbly or two!
