I live in regional SA and have a passion for building and developing local communities. I have extensive experience in regional tourism in South Australia after a ten year stint with the South Australian Tourism Commission including roles in the Marketing and Research teams.

Previously, I worked as the Regional Tourism Manager in both the Murraylands and Riverland of South Australia, for 5 years in each region. I launched Caroline Phillips Marketing (now CP & Co.) in 2015 and have grown significantly over this time. Working predominately in the tourism space, we have worked to assist the growth of many businesses through a variety of means including business planning, strategic development, grant writing and social media marketing.

 

I have professional qualifications in Marketing, a Bachelor of International Business and over twenty years’ experience working in marketing and communications in both the public and private sector.

 

I am a woman of many hats and are currently the Mayor of the District Council of Karoonda East Murray. A challenging but incredibly rewarding role. Prior to this I served as an elected member for 12 years.

 

In addition to my work and mayoral commitments, I am also currently a board member of the Tourism Industry Council of South Australia, Netball South Australia, Murraylands Riverland Landscapes Board and Vice President of the Murraylands and Riverland Local Government Association.
